Air Diluent CCR Diver- TDI Level 1

This course is designed to allow divers to transition from open circuit diving into the world of Closed-Circuit rebreather diving. It certifies divers to dives up to 30m using air as a diluent for non-decompression diving.
Duration: 4-6 days.

Pre-requisites:

  1. Min. age 18.
  2. 20 logged OW dives. If crossing over from another rebreather provide proof of logged 10 rebreather dives in the last 12 months.
  3. Provide proof as a TDI Nitrox Diver or Equivalent from other agencies recognized by TDI.

Note: Nitrox diver and/or Advanced nitrox diver may be combined with this course.

  1. Understanding the function of a JJCCR rebreather.
  2. Rebreather preparation and verification checks.
  3. Operate a rebreather proficiently throughout a dive.
  4. Understand key failure points and how to solve rebreather failures.
  5. Dive planning with rebreathers.
  6. Limits and risks associated with rebreather diving.
  7. Maintainence, troubleshooting workshop.
  8. Rebreather post-dive care.
