Air Diluent CCR Decompression Diver TDI Level 2

This is an entry level course to rebreather divers that already have the training and certification to carry out decompression diving.
Duration: 4-6 days.

The Air Diluent CCR Decompression Diver is available as an entry level course to new CCR divers already holding OC decompression diving certifications, or as an upgrade for Air Diluent CCR Divers. This certification will allow you to plan and carry out limited decompression dives using air as diluent.

Pre-requisites

  1. Minimum age 18.
  2. Provide proof of 50 logged dives. If completing a unit crossover, at least 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
  3. Provide proof of TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and Deco Procedures Diver or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI.
  4. Provide proof of at least 5 logged staged decompression dives to a minimum depth of 30 metres/100 feet.

OR

  1. Minimum age 18.
  2. TDI Air Diluent CCR Diver certified or equivalent.
  3. Minimum of 30 hours and 30 dives on the CCR unit.
  4. Six months CCR diving experience.

Key Skills.

  1. Rebreather preparation and verification checks.
  2. Operate a rebreather throughout a decompression dive.
  3. Understand key failure points and how to solve rebreather failures.
  4. Dive planning for rebreather decompression diving.
  5. Limits and risks associated with rebreather decompression diving.
  6. Maintainence, troubleshooting workshop.

Upgrades from Level 1 non deco Air Diluent divers to Level 2 Air Diluent decompression divers can be carried out over a 2-3-day period.
