TDI Decompression Procedures

Decompression Procedures is a technical diving course that teaches divers how to plan and conduct limited decompression dives safely. It is designed for divers looking to go beyond recreational limits and learn the skills and knowledge required for staged decompression diving.
Duration 3-4 days

Key Features of the Course:

Depth Limit:
The course trains divers to dive to a maximum depth of 45 meters (150 feet).

Decompression Procedures
Introduces divers to staged decompression techniques, allowing for safe ascent after exceeding no decompression limits.

Gas Usage: Covers the use of air or nitrox as the bottom gas. Includes the use of higher oxygen-content gases (up to 100% oxygen) to optimize decompression efficiency.

Skills and Training: Dive planning using decompression tables or dive computers.
Proper use of stage cylinders for carrying and switching gases.
Buoyancy control and ascent techniques in staged decompression.
Managing emergencies and handling equipment failures during decompression dives.

Equipment: Focuses on the use of back mounted double cylinders and stage cylinders.
Teaches gas switching procedures and advanced equipment configuration.

Prerequisites: Divers must have completed TDI Advanced Nitrox or an equivalent course.
A minimum number of logged dives (varies by instructor, usually around 25-30).
